On-site training can be provided for leaders and staff, enabling them to supervise groups confidently and safely. It will cover the skills and procedures relevant to the type of climbing wall, and the groups under supervision. Provided by a highly qualified trainer holding the Mountain Instructors Certificate (MIC).
Each staff member will be provided with a log book for recording progress and experience. Once training has been provided, there is normally a consolidation period before an informal assessment, resulting in either a sign-off or recommendations for further practice.
